One of my ongoing projects while working at Deutsche Telekom was the "TopApps" recommendation service. It was preinstalled on all new phones purchased on a Telekom sim / contract and offered an overview of the App market along with news and reviews. As Telekom sold multiple devices on different operating systems the design had to be altered to work within the context of the native system that it would be used on.
TopApps 3.0 - Webapp
The third iteration of TopApps was to be designed as a webapp. This meant that all operating systems would have the same experience and wouldn't have to have tailor made solution. The opportunity to use micro animations really gave the ability to create a playful experience. We used a card based metaphor for each post to create an almost tangible look and feel.
In order to present the microanimation concepts I created a video prototype using AfterEffects which was then presented to stakeholders and third party developers to create.
